STARFALL UNIVERSE WIKI
Complete guide to the galaxy. Everything you need to know to mine, trade, fight, and rule the void.
Welcome, Pilot
Starfall Universe is a 2D top-down pixel space MMO inspired by EVE Online. The galaxy contains 25 star systems across four regions, a fully player-driven market, real-time PvP, resource mining, ship crafting, and Syndicates (player corporations).
Your goal is whatever you make it — become a wealthy merchant, a feared pirate, a skilled miner, or the founder of a dominant Syndicate. The only rule: we reward the worthy ones.
First Steps
- Register an account at the login screen
- Start in Sol aboard a Corvette with basic modules
- Complete the tutorial quests for starter NVC and blueprints
- Undock with F near Starfall Station
- Move with W A S D and fire with Left Click
- Press M to open the star map
Tutorial Quests
New pilots get 8 guided quests worth around 14,800 NVC total. This is intentionally modest — creating a Syndicate (20,000 NVC) requires additional active play.

|---|---|---|
| First Flight | Undock from station | 500 NVC |
| Into the Black | Fly some distance from station | 800 NVC |
| Rock Breaker | Mine 50 ore | 1,000 NVC + Mining Laser Mk.I |
| Merchant's Cut | Sell ore at a station | 500 NVC |
| Suited Up | Equip any Mk.II module | 1,000 NVC |
| Gate Jumper | Travel through any stargate | 2,000 NVC |

The Universe — 25 Systems
The galaxy is divided into 4 regions spanning 25 star systems. Each region gets deadlier and more rewarding as you push outward.
Regions
| Region | Security | Description |
|---|---|---|
| The Core | HIGH-SEC | Safe starting zone. PvP disabled. New pilots protected. |
| The Border | LOW-SEC | PvP enabled. Pirates roam. Richer resources. |
| The Void | NULL-SEC | Lawless. Best mining. Syndicate territory. |
| The Fringe | SPECIAL | Wormhole-only access. Hidden treasures. |
Security Levels
HIGH-SEC Safe Zones
PvP is disabled by game rules. Other players cannot attack you. Ideal for beginners, miners, and traders. Systems: Sol, Aethon Reach, Veyra's Claim, Lyra Prime, Helix Point, Nova Crossing.
LOW-SEC Contested Space
Full PvP. Bloodmoon pirate NPCs patrol some systems. Richer ore fields than high-sec. Systems: Kaelus Drift, Nyx Expanse, Thorn Nebula, Pale Reach, Ironveil, Dusk Corridor, Ashen Gate.
NULL-SEC The Void
Extreme danger. Best resources in the galaxy — Pyronex, Starweld, Voidbloom gas. Wormholes spawn here. Systems: Oberon Deep, Ashmark Void, Crimson Veil, Ironfall Basin, Zephyr's Edge, Null Prime, Void Breach, The Abyss.
Travel & Warp
Moving between locations is handled by three mechanics:
- Sublight flight: WASD thruster movement, slow but precise
- Warp drive: Select a target in the Warp To panel (right side of HUD), press J, 5-second charge, then hyperspeed to destination
- Stargates: Warp to a gate, approach within 100 units, press F to jump to the connected system
Warp Tips
Warp can be cancelled with ESC or any movement key during charge. You cannot warp while docked or while mining. Warping grants no immunity — you can still be ambushed at your destination.
Stargates
Each system has 1–4 stargates connecting it to neighboring systems. Approach within range, press F to jump. You arrive with 5 seconds of invulnerability so you can orient yourself.
Ship Classes
16 ship classes split into Free and Premium tiers.

Corvette — Starter Ship
The Corvette has 1 mining slot allowing it to equip a Mining Laser or Gas Harvester. It is primarily a combat ship but can mine as a secondary activity. Dedicated miners should use Mining Barges for more mining slots and larger cargo.
Ship Bay
Every station has a Ship Bay where you can store multiple ships. When docked, open the Ship Bay tab to switch ships. Ships stay parked at the station you left them at — travel back to retrieve them.
Modules & Equipment
Modules are installed into your ship's equipment slots. Each module has a Mk.I through Mk.X tier — higher marks have better stats but require blueprints and materials to craft.
Equipment Slots
| Slot | Color | Fits |
|---|---|---|
| Weapon | Red | Gatling lasers, missile launchers |
| Mining | Cyan | Mining lasers, gas harvesters |
| Active | Green | Shield boosters, hull repair units |
| Passive | Yellow | Shield generators, armor plating |
Weapons
Gatling Lasers (Mk.I - Mk.V)
Rapid-fire energy weapons. 1.5x damage vs shields, 0.5x vs armor, 0.75x vs hull. Best for stripping shields fast.
Missile Launchers (Mk.I - Mk.V)
Slow-firing heavy projectiles. 0.5x damage vs shields, 1.5x vs armor, 1.0x vs hull. Best for armor cracking.
Mining Gear
Mining Lasers (Mk.I - Mk.X)
Extract ore from asteroids. Higher marks mine faster. Requires a mining slot.
Gas Harvesters (Mk.I - Mk.V)
Collect gas from nebula clouds found in Low-Sec and Null-Sec systems.

Mining
Asteroid belts exist in most systems. To mine:
- Equip a Mining Laser in your mining slot
- Approach an asteroid within 80 units
- Press E to start mining
- Ore types roll per mining tick based on system security
- Press E again or move away to stop
Server-Authoritative Mining
Asteroids are shared across all players. When you mine an asteroid, its quantity decreases for everyone. Depleted asteroids respawn after 15 minutes. Only one player can mine an asteroid at a time — first to lock it wins.
Ore Distribution by Security
Different regions yield different ores. Rare ores are only found deeper in dangerous space.
Bonus NPC Prices in Dangerous Stations
Select stations in Low-Sec and Null-Sec offer above-average NPC buy prices to reward mining risk:
- Kaelus Outpost (Low-Sec): Cobrix 11, Veltane 32, Pyronex 85 NVC
- Oberon Citadel (Null-Sec): Pyronex 96, Starweld 280, Pyreheart 105, Voidbloom 280 NVC
These are significantly higher than the default 60% NPC rates in High-Sec stations. Mining in dangerous space is always the more profitable option — if you survive.
| Ore | High-Sec | Low-Sec | Null-Sec |
|---|---|---|---|
| Durrite | 60% | 25% | 10% |
| Cobrix | 30% | 40% | 20% |
| Veltane | 8% | 25% | 30% |
| Pyronex | 2% | 9% | 30% |
| Starweld | 0% | 1% | 10% |
Gas Harvesting
Gas clouds are found near dying stars in certain systems (Thorn Nebula, Ashmark Void). Equip a Gas Harvester and press E near a cloud. Gas clouds respawn after 30 minutes.
Gas Distribution by Security
| Gas | High-Sec | Low-Sec | Null-Sec |
|---|---|---|---|
| Wraith Mist | 65% | 30% | 10% |
| Cryoveil | 30% | 45% | 25% |
| Pyreheart | 5% | 22% | 45% |
| Voidbloom | 0% | 3% | 20% |
Salvage
Every destroyed ship leaves a wreck. Approach and press E to salvage. Salvage yields:
- Components: Electronic Boards, Tungsten Plates, Radar, Beacons — used in crafting
- Modules: Equipment the victim had installed
- Blueprints: 15% chance to drop a random module or ship blueprint
Special wrecks in wormhole systems have richer loot pools.
Refining
Dock at an Industrial Station (Sol Foundry in Sol system) to refine raw ore and gas into ingots, crystals, and refined materials:
| Recipe | Output | Market Value |
|---|---|---|
| 10 Durrite | 1 Durrite Ingot | 80 NVC |
| 5 Cobrix + 3 Veltane | 1 Cobrix Crystal | 200 NVC |
| 6 Pyronex | 1 Pyronite | 900 NVC |
| 3 Starweld | 1 Starweld Alloy | 2,000 NVC |
| 6 Cryoveil + 4 Wraith Mist | 1 Refined Plasma | 350 NVC |
| 8 Pyreheart | 1 Heat Cell | 1,500 NVC |
| 5 Voidbloom | 1 Obsianite | 3,000 NVC |
Note: ~20% material loss is baked into every recipe. Refining rewards scale production efficiency.
NPC Buy Prices for Refined Materials
NPCs buy refined materials at 50% of market value as a last-resort fallback. Always check the Player Market for better prices first.
| Material | Market Value | NPC Buy Price |
|---|---|---|
| Durrite Ingot | 80 NVC | 40 NVC |
| Cobrix Crystal | 200 NVC | 100 NVC |
| Pyronite | 900 NVC | 450 NVC |
| Starweld Alloy | 2,000 NVC | 1,000 NVC |
| Refined Plasma | 350 NVC | 175 NVC |
| Heat Cells | 1,500 NVC | 750 NVC |
| Obsianite | 3,000 NVC | 1,500 NVC |
Crafting (Manufacturing)
At an Industrial Station, select a blueprint and required materials to craft a module or ship. Blueprints are consumed on use unless marked as reusable.
Example Recipes
- Gatling Laser Mk.III: 6 Cobrix Crystal + 4 Durrite Ingot + 4 Electronic Boards
- Missile Launcher Mk.III: 4 Pyronite + 8 Durrite Ingot + 3 Electronic Boards + 4 Tungsten Plates
- Mining Laser Mk.III: 4 Cobrix Crystal + 8 Durrite Ingot + 3 Electronic Boards
- Shield Generator Mk.III: 6 Refined Plasma + 4 Cobrix Crystal + 4 Electronic Boards
- Corvette Blueprint: 20 Durrite Ingot + 10 Cobrix Crystal + 15 Tungsten Plates + 12 Electronic Boards + 1 Nav Beacon
Full recipe list is available in the Manufacturing tab at Sol Foundry.
Blueprints
Blueprints are found in wrecks (15% drop chance) or bought from other players on the market. They're weighted toward lower tiers:
- 60% Mk.III blueprints
- 30% Mk.IV blueprints
- 10% Mk.V+ blueprints (rare)
Player Market
The player market is fully EVE-style. Every item in the game is tradeable between players. Access by docking at any station and opening the "Player Market" tab.
Order Types
- Sell Order: List items at your asking price. Buyers must come to your station. 2% broker fee upfront.
- Buy Order: Post a bid at your offered price. NVC held in escrow. 2% broker fee upfront.
- Instant Sell: Sell immediately to the highest existing buy order. 1% tax only.
- Instant Buy: Buy immediately from the lowest sell order. 1% tax only.
Fees Summary
| Action | Broker Fee | Transaction Tax |
|---|---|---|
| Place order (buy/sell) | 2% upfront | 1% on fill |
| Instant trade | None | 1% |
Order Matching
New orders auto-match with existing crossing orders. A buy at 200 NVC matches a sell at 180 NVC instantly (buyer refunded the difference). Orders expire after 30 days if not filled.
Station-Specific Markets
Each station has its own order book. Orders placed at Sol cannot be filled at Aethon. This creates trade route gameplay — buy cheap at Sol, transport to Kaelus Drift, sell high. Items purchased appear in station storage at the station where you bought them.
Trade Route Example
Buy Cobrix ore cheap from miners in Aethon Reach at 9 NVC (NPC price floor). Haul it to Kaelus Drift where combat pilots need it for Cobrix Crystal refining. List it on the Kaelus Drift player market at 14 NVC. Profit: 5 NVC per unit. Haul 2,000 kg (~166 units) = 830 NVC profit per trip. Upgrade to a Medium Hauler and that becomes 8,000 kg per trip.
Market Browser
Press C from anywhere to open the Galactic Market Browser. Shows every active order across all 25 systems. Filter by category, search by item name, sort by price. Perfect for finding cheap ores to arbitrage or expensive sell orders to meet.
PvP Combat
Combat uses manual aim — no lock-on or auto-targeting. Point and click to fire. Skill beats ship class — a skilled Corvette pilot can defeat an unskilled Battleship pilot.
Damage Multipliers
| Weapon | vs Shield | vs Armor | vs Hull |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gatling Laser | 1.5x | 0.5x | 0.75x |
| Missile Launcher | 0.5x | 1.5x | 1.0x |
Death & Respawn
When your hull reaches 0:
- Your ship is destroyed and becomes a salvageable wreck at that location
- All cargo in your hold drops with the wreck — other players can loot it
- You lose 10% of your current NVC balance
- Your equipped modules are NOT all lost — each module has a 50% chance to survive in the wreck, others are destroyed
- You respawn at Starfall Station in Sol in the same ship type
- If you had multiple ships parked at other stations they are unaffected
- You receive 10 seconds of invulnerability on respawn
- Your ship respawns with full Hull, Armor, and Shield
NPC Factions
The galaxy is patrolled by several distinct NPC factions. Each has its own behavior, ships, and loot tables.
🔴 Bloodmoon Pirates
The dominant hostile faction. Aggressive on sight in all Low-Sec and Null-Sec space. Five ship types:
| Ship | Hull/Armor/Shield | DPS | NVC Reward | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Bloodmoon Scout | 45/25/40 | 8 | 100 | Low-Sec border |
| Bloodmoon Raider | 70/45/55 | 14 | 200 | Low-Sec / Null-Sec |
| Bloodmoon Enforcer | 100/65/70 | 18 | 350 | Low-Sec / Null-Sec |
| Bloodmoon Commander | 180/130/100 | 22 | 800 | Null-Sec only |
| ⚠ Bloodmoon Titan | 4000/3000/2000 | 65 | 50,000 | Null Prime (1% spawn) |
Bloodmoon Titan is a server boss with a 1% spawn chance per cycle in Null Prime. When killed, a server-wide chat broadcast announces the kill. Drops 3 guaranteed Mk.IV/V blueprints plus full salvage components.
🟣 Void Collective
Mysterious purple-glowing entities found in the deepest null-sec systems. Aggressive but rarely seen.
| Ship | Hull/Armor/Shield | DPS | NVC Reward | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Void Drone | 65/50/130 | 15 | 400 | Zephyr's Edge / The Abyss |
| Void Hunter | 130/85/250 | 26 | 900 | The Abyss only |
| ⚠ Void Overlord | 350/180/500 | 42 | 5,000 | The Abyss (0.5% spawn) |
Void Overlord is a rare boss in The Abyss with shielded heavy armament. Drops guaranteed Mk.IV/V blueprints. Killing it triggers a system-wide announcement.
🔵 Aethon Remnants
Survivors of the lost Aethon civilization. Patrol Ashen Gate and Ironfall Basin in formation.
| Ship | Hull/Armor/Shield | DPS | NVC Reward | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Aethon Patrol | 100/90/180 | 18 | 500 | Ashen Gate |
| Aethon Warship | 260/210/300 | 35 | 1,000 | Ironfall Basin |
NEUTRAL until provoked
Aethon Remnants will not attack you unless you fire on them first. Once you do, they become permanently hostile in that system. They're worth killing for blueprints, but consider whether you want to anger them.
🟡 Ancient Guardians
Mysterious automated defenders of the ancient wrecks found inside wormholes. Patrol near wreck structures and attack on detection. Drop high-tier blueprints (40% Mk.IV / 20% Mk.V chance).
| Stat | Value |
|---|---|
| Hull / Armor / Shield | 280 / 220 / 300 |
| DPS | 38 |
| NVC Reward | 1,200 |
| Spawns in | Wormhole interiors only (Blue and Red) |
⚪ Smugglers
Independent pilots running cargo through dangerous space. Found rarely in Kaelus Drift, Nyx Expanse, and Pale Reach. Always passive — they will not attack you unprovoked, and they actively flee if you approach within 400 units. If cornered they fire weak defensive shots. Killing one is easy NVC + a chance at Mk.I/II modules.
Faction Relations
- NPC factions do not attack each other — only players
- Bloodmoon, Void Collective, and Ancient are always hostile
- Aethon Remnants are neutral until attacked
- Smugglers are always passive — they flee on approach. Chase them for cargo drops.
⚠ BOSS ENCOUNTERS
- Bloodmoon Titan — Null Prime. 1% spawn chance. Drops Titan blueprint. 50,000 NVC bounty.
- Void Overlord — The Abyss. 0.5% spawn chance. Drops unique Void Disruptor module.
Server-wide announcement when bosses are destroyed.
Syndicates
Syndicates are Starfall's player corporations. Team up with other pilots for shared wallet, chat channel, and kill bonuses.
Creation
- Costs 20,000 NVC (non-refundable)
- Name: 3-24 characters
- Tag: 2-5 uppercase letters — shown in brackets next to your name
- Names and tags must be unique across the galaxy
Ranks
| Rank | Permissions |
|---|---|
| Founder | All: disband, promote, set tax, withdraw, invite, kick, broadcast |
| Director | Withdraw wallet, invite, kick members |
| Officer | Invite and kick members, broadcast |
| Member | Chat, view wallet, deposit NVC |
Wallet & Tax
- Deposit: Any member can add NVC to the syndicate wallet
- Withdraw: Founder and Director can take from the wallet
- Tax: Founder sets 0-30% tax rate. Tax is auto-collected from members' market sales and added to the wallet
- Kill Bonus: When a syndicate member kills a player in PvP, 5% of victim's NVC (max 10,000) goes to syndicate wallet
- Broadcast: Send a global message to all online players. Costs 5,000 NVC from syndicate wallet. 24-hour cooldown.
Check Tax Rate Before Joining
Always check the tax rate before joining a Syndicate. Tax is shown on the Syndicate detail page in the search results. A 0% tax Syndicate costs you nothing. A 20% tax means the Syndicate takes 20% of all your market earnings automatically from every sale.
Invites
Officers+ can invite any player by name. Invites pop up in real-time if the target is online. Accepted invites auto-expire after 48 hours.
Wormholes
Wormholes are temporary spatial rifts that appear in Null-Sec systems. They lead to procedurally generated hidden pockets packed with valuable resources, salvageable wrecks, and ancient guardians. Reaching them is dangerous. Surviving inside is harder.
Spawning Rules
- Wormholes only spawn in Null-Sec systems: Oberon Deep, Ashmark Void, Crimson Veil, Ironfall Basin, Zephyr's Edge, Null Prime, Void Breach, The Abyss
- Blue wormhole spawns every 60 minutes at a random null-sec system
- Red wormhole spawns every 120 minutes at a different random null-sec system
- Only one of each color can be active in the galaxy at a time
- Once spawned, the rift is visible in space for 10 minutes. After that, if no one entered, it closes and a new spawn cycle begins
- The rift appears as a glowing portal at a random position in the chosen system
Who Can Enter
Anyone — there are no level, ship, or syndicate restrictions. Approach the rift with any ship and press F to enter. Mining ships go for ore, combat ships go for blueprints, gas harvesters go for the rare gas only found inside.
Wormhole interiors are private instances. When you enter, your client generates the contents locally — you do not see other players inside. Each pilot gets their own copy.
Capacity Limits & Re-Entry Rules
- Maximum 5 pilots can enter any single wormhole. Once the 5th enters, the rift collapses instantly and disappears from the galaxy.
- Once you exit a wormhole you cannot re-enter the same rift. The void remembers you.
- The server announces every wormhole detection in global chat — watch the feed for spawn alerts.
- Ancient Guardians patrol the wrecks inside. Be prepared to fight before you start salvaging.
The 10-Minute Timer (Critical)
Read this carefully or die
The instant you cross the rift, a 10-minute countdown starts. You have exactly 10 minutes to mine, harvest, fight, salvage — and reach the EXIT RIFT gate to escape.
If the timer hits zero, your ship is instantly destroyed. You lose your cargo, equipped modules (50% chance per module to drop in the wreck), and 10% of your NVC. There is no coming back the way you came in — the entry rift closes behind you.
The countdown is shown on your HUD. Watch it.
The Exit Rift
Inside every wormhole, an orange-glowing EXIT RIFT appears at a random distance from center (between 4,000 and 6,000 units). It's clearly labeled and shows up on your minimap. Approach it and press F to escape.
Escaping returns you to your exact entry position in the origin system, with 5 seconds of invulnerability. Your cargo, modules, and ship state are preserved. Remember — you cannot re-enter the same rift afterwards.

Tracking Wormhole Spawns
Watch the global chat — when a wormhole spawns, the server broadcasts the system it appeared in. Players who race to that system first get one of the 5 precious entry slots before the rift collapses. There's no in-game tracker beyond chat alerts.
Quest Progress Inside Wormholes
- Entering a wormhole counts toward the Rift Diver daily quest
- Salvaging wrecks inside counts toward salvage quests
- Mining and gas harvesting count toward standard mining quests
- Killing Ancient Guardians does not currently count toward pirate quests (different faction)
